Creature Comforts Bed and Breakfast ...

... is a modern and completely private establishment with Air-conditioned comfort, set in a peaceful, rural setting on 5 acres within the town boundaries, just minutes from the Armidale CBD.

We invite Short Stay or Long Stay guests from the Business or Private sector.
The Sitting Room has ample workspace for the Business people. The Private School and University communities are invited, with other travelling couples or singles who would enjoy some good old "Creature Comforts" (Bring the family pooch to visit the kids and leave him with us when you’re busy).

The Spacious Grounds encourage a morning stroll or provide a wonderful play area which would mean being accompanied by our charming Border Collie, Darby.

Our Situation invites nature lovers for Bushwalking or to view some of our majestic Waterfalls and Gorges and also experience a visit to our National Parks. All this can be found inside 30 minutes drive. We have visitations from some of the local birdlife at home and we provide safe quarters for your animals whilst you are away.

Sporting enthusiasts are well catered for, in particular with Fishing and Golf. A short course golf driving range is on the property

Your Hosts, Jeannie and Greg Doolan
moved back to Armidale ...

... six years ago and after a short time, moved into their home in Braund Street. They fell in love with the quiet, peaceful and friendly neighbourhood and the open, rural atmosphere, so close to town.

In previous years, after spending ten years raising their family at Walcha Road, on the Oxley Highway and subsequently at Bundarra, 80 kms west of Armidale, Jeannie and Greg returned to Sydney for the children’s further education.

Jeannie’s family the Darbys, pioneered the Inverell district, (north west of Armidale) having been awarded a grant of land called "Tiengah" which stretched from Inverell, and part of the way to Tingha. Her grandmother’s original home, "The Grove" has pride of place at the Inverell Pioneer Village and her grandmothers of two previous generations to that are buried in the Bundarra Cemetry. Jeannie’s Father was born at Inverell, her Mother and Father were married at Inverell and the first brother was born at Inverell.

It really felt like returning home when your hosts finally took up residence again in the New England.
